A very large gas pipeline construction contract in Thailand had been completed. Koop group/Nacap had substantial claims for additional work, change orders and insurance issues with the client. However, there were significant relational problems with the client, resulting in a complete standstill of communication.
Challenge was to step in and re-establish contact with the client, open the door to negotiations, achieve final completion and establish a working relationship in which both parties were able to put forward their commercial issues and come to a solution.
